Microdosing

There are no universal guidelines when it comes to dosing CBD. Various factors can influence your ideal dosage such as composition of the product, time of intake, possible use of medicines, your body weight, the reason for which it is used and individual sensitivity. It is therefore important to start with a small dosage and increase slowly until you reach your desired effect (start low, go slow).
CBD (cannabidiol) is one of the most active and therapeutic cannabinoids in cannabis. It’s hard to know where to start and how to measure the effectiveness of CBD on your body if you haven’t tried it yet. A great way, especially for new users is to start through microdosing.
Microdosing CBD is a technique in which you regularly take very small amounts of CBD. If you are new to CBD, then microdosing is a great way to better understand the effects of CBD on your body. Microdosing is also great for people who are experienced with CBD and want to reset their system and get back into their optimal therapeutic range, as you can develop tolerance over time and the effects of CBD may diminish. You can then lower the dose or stop for a while and then build up again.
The so-called biphasic dose response curve is very important, when dosing cannabinoids. This means that high doses are not necessarily better than low doses. A higher dose may even have the opposite effect. So also, a good reason to start with a low dose when starting with a CBD product.
For SanaCan we recommend dosing CBD according to the table*. If you find the 7 days in the build-up schedule too long, you can also choose to build up earlier. Our advice is to keep at least 3 days between a dose increase.
